Alison Nic Giolla Bhríde, Roisin Ní Amaill, Aimee Ní Bhraonáin and Leah Ní Mhurchú. All of them received in excess of 500 points. Aimee received 613 points while Alison received 601 points.

Déanann muid comhghairdeas leis na scoláirí uilig a fuair torthaí ar dóigh Dé Céadaoin seo chuaigh thart agus a bhí an-sásta leis na tairiscintí CAO uilig a fuair siad De Luain. Beidh iardhaltaí Choláiste Oiriall scaipithe thart ar gach ollscoil agus institiuidí eile tríú leibhéal ar fud na tíre agus guíonn muid ádh mór orthu.

Coláiste Oiriall congratulates the class of 2018 who received very impressive Leaving Certificate last Wednesday. Again this year the results in the school were substantially above the national averages – 27% of Coláiste Oiriall students received in excess of 500 points compared with the 13% national average, 68% received in excess of 400 points compared with the 37% national average. The average CAO points for Coláiste Oiriall students was 435 compared with the national average of 350 points. The eleven students who received in excess of 500 points are: Aimee Ní Bhraonáin (613), Alison Nic Giolla Bhríde (601), Aoife Ní Dhufaigh, Caoimhe Nic Ursáin, Seán MacCléire, Roisin Ní Amaill, Claire Ní Dhufaigh, Karla Ní Chleirchín, Tara Nic Giolla Seanáin, Leah Ní Mhurchú and Zach Ó Mealláin.  This cohort of students averaged 555 points. The students will now undertake a diverse range of courses in every university on the island of Ireland and in other third level institutions. The vast majority were extremely satisfied with their first round CAO offers received on Monday morning last. The following are some of the offers received by Coláiste Oiriall students: Physiotherapy in UCD, Psychology in Queens, Science in UCD and NUI Galway, Primary Teaching in DCU (St. Pat’s) and in St. Mary’s, Belfast, Business in UCD, European Studies in Trinity College, Arts in NUI Galway and in DCU, Nursing in LYIT, DCU and Sterling, Scotland, Engineering in DIT, Commerce in NUI Galway, Computer Applications in DCU We wish them well at third level and we thank their parents for their co-operation and support for the past six years.  We congratulate our fifty odd former students on their excellent results. Gabhann muid buíochas lena gcuid tuismitheoirí as a gcuid tacaíochta agus comhoibriú le sé bliana anuas.
