2nd, 4th and 5th year students in Coláiste Oiriall were treated to a feast of dancing in the form of sean-nos and hip hop dancing workshops, delivered by Zimbabwe native, Tura

Arutura, entirely through the medium of Irish last Tuesday. This was part of the school’s initiative, Ealaíona Oiriall, to promote the arts in the school.

Gaelic speaker Tura is a dancer who moved to Belfast in 1993 when he was 19 years old. Now married with 3 daughters he teaches dance and has become a familiar face in Irish language circles. Tura can often be found at events in Belfast and beyond where he performs a African tribal, hip hop and street dance as well as rapping in Irish.

Chuaigh Tura i bhfeidhm ar na daltaí go mór agus bhain an trí bhliainghrúpa an-sult as an lá – eispearas an-neamhchoitianta agus beidh muid ag súil le Tura pilleadh ar an scoil ar an bhliain seo chugainn. Ba iad na Young Social Innovators a thug cuireadh dó chun na scoile.
