Hazel Ní Bheacháin, a third year student in Coláiste Oiriall, has been selected by the panel of judges as the winner for the North and West Region in the Secondary Schools category

of the Green-Schools Our Plan 2040 Poster competition and consequently shortlisted as a finalist for the National Secondary category.  There were more than 3,100 entries nationwide. Hazel, and her teacher, Múinteoir Chloe, have been invited to the Award ceremony which will be held in the Custom House, Dublin 1 on Thursday 4th May.Postaer Hazel Coiste Glas

Déanann Coláiste Oiriall comhghairdeas le Hazel Ní Bheacháin as príomhdhuais reigiún an Tuaiscirt agus an Iarthair a fháil i gcomórtas postaer Scoileanna Glasa Plean S’Againne 2040. Cuireadh os cionn 3,000 iarratais isteach. Téann saothar Hazel ar aghaidh chuig an Searmanas Náisiúnta Bhronnta a bheas ar siúl i dTeach an Chustaim Deardaoin, 4 Bealtaine. Bronnfar duais de ríomhaire táibléid uirthi agus beidh seans aici an t-llghradam náisiúnta le duais €500 ag dul leis a bhaint fosta.

The award which consists of the winner’s framed entry and a tablet computer will be presented by the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government, Simon Coveney T.D. The overall national winners in each of the three categories (for a prize of €500 for the school) will be announced on the day.
