The following nine students received 58 higher level As and 32 higher level Bs between them from ten subjects each in their Junior Certificate: Laura Ní Dhroma, (9As), Aisling Ní Ghallchóir (8As), Yvonne Nic Giolla Rua (8As), Darragh Ó Faoláin, Rebecca Nic Cionna, Isabelle Zechner, Seán MacCionna, Chloe Nic Giolla Bhríde and Andrew Ó Loideáin.

This group is joined by a further fifteen students who between them received 100 A’s, 102 B’s and 44 C’s – all at higher level. The additional students in this grouping are Colm Ó Ruanaidh, Marie Louise Nic Aodha, Enya Ní Dhuibhne, Dervla Ní Threasaigh, Seán Ó hAodha, Jamie Mac Cearáin, Rioghnach MacConghail, Kaie Mac Gafraidh, Caitlín Nic Cionna, Rebecca Nic Conraoí, Sarah Nig Ráine, Tara Ní Bhroin, Grace Ní Chléire, Sorcha Ní Néill and Ailbhe Ní Shearraigh.

The number of students who received As, Bs or Cs on higher level papers was higher in Coláiste Oiriall in all subjects than nationally: English – 95% in Coláiste Oiriall ((77 nationally), Mathematics – 85% in Coláiste Oiriall (76% nationally), Science – 86% in Coláiste Oiriall (76% nationally), French – 90% in Coláiste Oiriall (71% nationally), Geeography – 90% in Coláiste Oiriall (74% nationally), History – 85% in Coláiste Oiriall (68% nationally) and Business Studies – 100% in Coláiste Oiriall (80% nationally).

This pattern continues in Music, Home Economics, Metalwork, Technical Graphics and Woodwork. The internal breakdown of As, Bs and Cs followed the same pattern. 70% of students received As in Irish and with one exception the remainder got Bs. Coláiste Oiriall students performed particularly well in the core subjects of  English, Irish and Maths with an abundance of As and Bs in all three.

The percentage of students doing higher level papers was higher in all subjects in Coláiste Oiriall than the national average. For example 100% in Coláiste Oiriall did higher level Irish as opposed to 57% nationally, 86% did higher level English as opposed to 75% nationally, 71% did higher level Mathematics as opposed to 55% nationally and 84% did higher level Science as opposed to 79% nationally.

Arís comhghairdeas libh uilig. Bainigí sult as an Idirbhliain agus bígí réidh do staidéar crua na cúigiú bliana an bhliain dar gcionn. Tá an dúshraith curtha ag na daltaí seo go léir chun Ardteist iontach maith a fháil amach anseo.
