League form counted for nothing in the BI North East League “B” Final in Kingscourt last Wednesday. Eureka, Kells had won the league encounter against Coláiste Oiriall by 20 points and were the hot favourites coming into this game.

Boys under 16 have been lucky to have won the final round of the BI North East Lecture in Dundee on last Wednesday. Hard luck to the Coláiste Oiriall under 16 boys who were defeated St. Patrick's Classical School, Navan in the North East League "C" Final in Kingscourt last Wednesday.

De La Salle, Dundalk were 7 points up with three minutes remaining in a low scoring game in the North East League “C” Final in Kingscourt last Wednesday. Coláiste Oiriall captain, Jack Ó Daighre, had gone off injured but was soon able to return to the court. He hit two, Oisin Ó Murchu hit a two and knocked down the bonus.

Coláiste Oiriall under 16 Girls had a facile victory in the Ulster quarter final in Newry on Monday. Goals from Aoibheann Ní Threinir and Laura Ní Fhailigh and two apiece from Aisling Ní Ghallchóir and Caoimhe Nic an Bhaird proved to be the backbone of this victory.

Coláiste Oiriall basketball teams will travel to Laoise, Ballyshannon, Dalkey and Wicklow in the next stages of the Basketball Ireland All-Ireland play-off series. Beidh foirne Oiriall ag taisteal ó cheann ceann na tíre i mí Eanáir ag iarraidh gradam náisiúnta a thabhairt leo.
