Eagraíodh turas go Co. an Chláir do fhoireann peile cailíní faoi 20 Choláiste Oiriall atá ag imirt i gCraobh Uladh an tseachtain seo. Tá an t-úafas oibre agus traenála déanta ag an fhoireann seo le chéile le roinnt blianta agus seo iarracht ag bainisteoir na foirne, an Múinteoir Orla Ní Riada, an fhoireann a nascadh le chéile tuilleadh. Rinne triúr múinteoirí na daltaí a thionlacan go dtí an Clár, beirt mhúinteoir as Co. an Chláir san áireamh.

In preparation for their Ulster final appearance in Garvaghey yesterday the under 20 Coláiste Oiriall football team travelled to Co. Clare for the weekend for a bonding exercise and some light training. The trip was organised by team manager, Múinteoir Orla Ní Riada, herself a native of Clare. This group of girls has put in a great effort over the last few years to reach the provincial final, including training after school, during lunch time, over the midterm breaks and on Saturday mornings. This weekend was a reward for all their hard work and dedication.

The students had lunch on arrival in Ennis, they then travelled to the Burren and they climbed its highest peak, Mullaghmore and explored the historic landscape. They later enjoyed tea and scones at Nana Reidy’s in Corofin (Muinteoir Orla’s gran). They stayed at Clare’s Rock Hostel in Carron where they ate dinner at watched DVDs and played board games before retiring for the night. After breakfast on Sunday morning they travelled to Lahinch beach for some light training. After lunch they visited the Cliffs of Moher before returning to Monaghan late on Sunday night.

Thug siad cuairt ar an Bhoirinn agus ar Ailt an Mhothair agus rinne siad traenáil eadrom ar thrá an Leachta. Stop siad i mbrú óige in Carron. Bhain siad an-sult go deo as an deireadh seachtaine agus Gabhann siad buíochas leis an Mhúinteoir Orla Ní Riada a reáchtáil an turas ó thús deireadh.
