In the Basketball Ireland All-Ireland Cup competition Coláiste Oiriall under 19 team defeated Castleknock College by 56 points to 39. Scóráil Jack Ó Daighre 22 phointe, Dylan Mac Cionna 12 phointe agus Cian Mac Giolla Chomhail 10 bpointe.

Last Wednesday the under 19 boys’ defeated Grange Community College in the Cup somewhat fortuitously in the All-Ireland quarter final by 42 points to 40. Grange led by a point at halftime 22-21. Top scorers was Jack Ó Daighre with 18 points and Dylan Mac Cionna with 10 points. They will play Wilson’s Hospital in the All-Ireland semi-final in the week beginning 11th January 2016. Wilson’s Hospital defeated O’ Fiaich College, Dundalk.

The Coláiste Oiriall under 16 team defeated Davitt College, Mayo on a final scoreline of 31 points to 24 points. Tiarnán Ó Roideáin scored 10 points, Ógie Ó Dufaigh scored 8 points and Seán Mac Cionna scored 6 points.

Today the under 16 boys’ were defeated by a stronger Larkin Community College, Cathal Brugha Street at the Dublin venue in the All-Ireland quarter final clash.
