Beidh Coláiste Oiriall ag glacadh páirt i gComórtas Seóléimní atá a reáchtáil ag Marese McCarra in Ionad Marcaíocht Capall Mhullach Mhóir i dTigh Damhnata. Beidh Charlotte, Lilly, Ellen agus Rachel ag marcaíocht mar fhoireann scoile thar cúig Shatharn idir seo agus deireadh mhí Aibreáin. Glacfar leis na pointí is airde a aimsíonn foireann i dtrí Shatharn agus ceithre cinn. Beidh taobh spraoiúil, eadróm ag baint leis an Satharn deireanach le bronnadh duaiseanna san áireamh.

Coláiste Oiriall is taking part in the inaugural Mullaghamore Equestrian Centre Inhouse Showjumping Competition. It will be run over a series of five weekends beginning this Saturday, 19th February and continuing during March and April. Our team representatives are Charlotte Ní hAgáin, Lilly Cheung, Ellen Ní Bhriain and Rachel Stirrat.

Other schools taking part in the team or individual events include St. Louis Secondary School, Monaghan, Collegiate School, Beech Hill College, Lisnaskea High School, Castleblayney College and Largy College. The competition will be run on a league basis with the best three of the four weeks considered for points in the overall competiton. Each week the best three scores of the team of four will count. The final week will be as a fun event and prize giving ceremony.

The 1st placed rider weekly will receive 12 points, 2nd placed will receive 10 points, 3rd placed will receive 8 points, 4th placed will receive 6 points, the 5th placed will receive 4 points while all other contestants will be awarded 2 points each. The placings will be decided by a double clear round over eight fences followed by a jump off against the clock.
