Coláiste Oiriall’s Under 19 Boys basketball team have booked their place in the finals of the Northeast League on Monday next

Congratulations to the Coláiste Oiriall under 16 Girls’ Basketball team who won the Basketball Ireland North East Regional Final which was played in the Phoenix Centre, Carrickmacross today with the narrowest of margins. The final score was Coláiste Oiriall 40 points and Beech Hill College 39 points.

Deirdre Nic Canna, Turlough Ó Cleircín, Jessica Ní Dhruacháin, Thomas Ó Muineach and Loinnir Ní Dhonnghaile are some of the Transition Year students from Coláiste Oiriall, who sold all their produce ‘Love the Subh’ jam within three hours at their stall in Church Square, Monaghan, as part of the Taste of Monaghan festival.

Donna Marie Ní Mhuireagáin was awarded a third level scholarship in recognition of her academic performance in the Leaving Certificate examination. The scholarship scheme, funded by the trustees of the J.P. McManus charitable foundation, provides significant financial assistance to top performing students throughout their undergraduate studies.
