Bhuaigh Coláiste Oiriall ar Choláiste Learga agus ar Scoil Uí Mhuirí, Co. Lú chun craobhacha cispheile Reigiún an Oirthuaiscirt 1ú agus 2ú buachaillí a bhaint i gCarraig Mhachaire Rois ach chaill an fhoireann 2ú bliana caiíní in eadán fhoireann láidir Ó Ghairmscoil Achadh an Iúir, Co. an Chabháin.

Many congratulations to Áine Ní Fhlanagáin, a Fifth Year student in Coláiste Oiriall, who won the All-Ireland title in the Scléip National Talent Competition for post primary schools in the Axis Theatre, Ballymun on Saturday. Áine is a prominent member of Carrickmacross Comhaltas CeoltóirÍ Éireann.

The results of the Coláiste Oiriall “Peann agus Pár” Literary Competition have just been announced. The adjudicators wish to compliment all the entrants and particularly those who won or indeed were placed in the various categories. 125 entries were received in total.

Four second Year students in Coláiste Oiriall have been awarded Stagewise scholarships to attend a residential Performaning Arts Youth course in the King’s Hospital School in Palmerstown between Monday, 4th and Saturday, 9th July. The four lucky students are Orna Ní Fhlanagáin, Helen Ní Chionnaith, Dervla Fowler and Frances Ní Chonghaile NicAoidh. They will attend classes in acting, singing, dancing, comedy, improvisation and mime.
