Is am neamhghnách, neamhchoitianta atá ann faoi láthair agus tá cúram orainn aire a thabhairt dúinn féin agus mar thoradh aire a thabhairt do gach duine thart orainn.

We are living in extraordinary times. We hope that you and your family as part of the Coláiste Oiriall school community are taking care of yourselves in the hope that none of us become infected with the coronovirus.

We repeat the three major steps in avoiding the virus: regular good hand washing for 20 seconds at least, respiratory etiquette including sneezing and coughing into your elbow or into a tissue and social distancing to include minimising social contact, avoiding meeting up and keeping physical space between you and other people.

We urge you to ensure your children also practice social distancing.  We understand that is particularly frustrating for young people and by all means get them out in the fresh air for a good runaround to stave of cabin fever. There is no problem for young people doing some odd jobs or helping with a spring clean around the house.

Be innovative at home with board games, arts and crafts, cookery, reading, playing cards, etc. Together we will defeat this virus and return to school and return to the normality we enjoyed until recently. Yes it will take time but this pandemic will pass but in the meantime we should adhere to Government and HSE directives.

Druideadh na scoileanna chun scaipeadh an víris a shrianú. Ná bígí ag comradaíocht thart i ngrúpaí le chéile Students are reminded that they can play their part in the national effort to curb the spread and the worse effects of the Covid-19 virus. Keep 1-2 metres apart from other people. Gheobhaidh muid an bua ar an choróinvireas agus muid ag obair as lámha a chéile. An áit a mbíonn an dólás bíonn an sólás in aice.
