Evening Study

  • Evening Study is offered each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 3.45 pm and 6.30 pm. This includes a fifteen minute break at 5.00 pm.

  • The facility costs €130 per half year.
  • Strictly 1st Year students only can register for a restricted Evening Study until 5.00 pm only at the reduced rate of €80 per half year.
  • Parents should settle all outstanding payments within a fortnight of the first study session.

  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for the collection of the student from study.
  • No mobile phones, MP3 players nor any other electronic devices allowed in the Study Room.
  • Students are responsible for having their own books/equipment with them for study.

  • Students are not permitted to go to their lockers during study as it interrupts others.

  • No student is allowed to leave Evening Study early for any reason, without having a written and signed note from a parent/guardian. This note should be produced to the supervisor at the beginning of the study session.

  • Students arriving late must be able to produce a signed note from a parent/guardian giving a reason for the delay.

  • Disruption of any form during study will not be tolerated. In the event of any unacceptable or disruptive behaviour the student will be asked to leave.
  • A note explaining why a student was asked to leave will be sent home to parents /guardians in the school journal for information purposes only. This note should be signed by a parent.

  • If there is a repeat of any unacceptable or disruptive behaviour the student will be asked to absent himself/herself from Evening Study for three weeks without any fee refund.
  • In the event of any unacceptable or disruptive behaviour from a student on a third occasion, the student will be asked to absent himself/herself permanently from Evening Study without any fee refund.
  • The Principal will act independently of the above procedures if necessary in order to maintain the appropriate study conditions for all students.
  • An electronic attendance record is completed daily by the supervising teacher.
