The Education Act 1998 specifies that the School Plan include policy objectives and measures concerning equality of access to and participation in the school. The Act also states that the school should publish its admissions policy, including its policy on the expulsion and suspension of students. Other legislation dictates that schools draw up policies on various aspects of school life. The following policies have been drawn up in consultation with staff. They were ratified at a staff meeting, at a Parents’ Committee meeting and subsequently at a Board of Management meeting. Parents are advised to familiarise themselves with the policies.
