Work Experience

  • One week in one location in November and a second week in another location in February
  • Students are requested to seek work experience for themselves
  • Placements include hospitals, Garda Stations, schools, factories, pharmacies, hairdressers, computer firms, vets, accountants, solicitors
  • Students complete a Company Profile and the employers return a report to us about the student

  • Every student will undertake a formal interview.
  • Student will present a CV to the interview board
  • Two adults – on teacher and an outside professional will interview student for at least 10-15 minute duration.
  • Student will be asked about his/her experiences in TY and about his/her future.
  • Interview takes place after Easter and contribute to overall assessment.
