Aims

To enable each student to:

  • Grow in maturity and self confidence
  • Develop the social and communications skills necessary to live in modern society
  • Understand and experience the world of work, business and technology
  • Prepare for Leaving Certificate programme.

Work Experience

  • One week in one location in November and a second week in another location in February
  • Students are encouraged to seek work experience for themselves
  • Placements include hospitals, Garda Stations, schools, factories, pharmacies, hairdressers, computer firms, vets, accountants, solicitors
  • Students complete a Company Profile and the employers return a report to us about the student

  • Visit the patients in Drumbear and Mullinahinch Nursing Homes
