Third Level Scholarship awarded to former student

Conchur Mac Aoidh, former student in Coláiste Oiriall was awarded a UCD Bord na Gaeilge Scholarhship at the Entrance Scholars’ Ceremony in the O’Reilly Hall, UCD, Belfield in November and was accompanied by his mother, Grace Maloney and school Principal, Brendan Ó Dufaigh. . . .

Gradam Gaisce bronnta ar dhaltaí Choláiste Oiriall

Gavin Duffy, entrepreneur from Dragons’ Den, presented bronze Gaisce Awards to the following twelve Coláiste Oiriall students at a ceremony in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Co. Westmeath in November. Áine Ní Fhlanagáin, Aoife Ní Chonraoí, Hannah Ní Longaigh, Conor Ó Maolfhabhaoil, Seán Ó Brogáin, Padraig Ó Muirí, Daithí Mac Giolla Bhríde, Una Ní Chorráin, Megan Ní Bheirn, Michelle Ní Mhuireagáin, Caoimhina Ní Shearraigh agus Sinead Ní Chorráin. Gavin MacGiolla Bhríde was presented with a silver Gaisce award in abstentio. They were accompanied by an Múinteoir Dermot Jack. . . .

The following ten students got excellent results in their Junior Certificate when the results were published in September, receiving 60As, 50Bs and 10c’s between them, all at higher level. J.P. McManus Scholarship for former student

onna Marie Ní Mhuireagáin was awarded a third level scholarship in recognition of her academic performance in the Leaving Certificate examination. The scholarship scheme, funded by the trustees of the J.P. McManus charitable foundation, provides significant financial assistance to top performing students throughout their undergraduate studies. Donna Marie is one of 10 recipients from the Republic of Ireland. The scholarship was presented by Mr. Peter Power, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs at a function in the Concert Hall in University of Limerick.
